Yes it is good food.
After you make it kinda pasty, turn off all your pumps and feed each polyp. It is a good time to feed all your other coral with appropriate food as well and chuck in some cyclopeze for your fish

Any food for corals will be good.
I have used acan plus and others with identical response. I am still opposed to the lack of transparency with Acan Plus, as discussed long ago, but it does feed the corals as well as more pricey foods like my current ultra clam ... Which I love. Lower flow area of the tank is best.
