Burn yellow cedar? Bite your tongue, red yes! Kindling, but yellow IMO is very nice, only problem is you can only do a natural oil finish as the resins in yellow cedar prevent any film finish from bonding, also very aromatic, love the smell of the shop when milling yellow cedar.

Ya, don't be burnin' any of that stuff. If you folks have too much cedar on your hands, throw some my way, red, yellow, purple, whatever. I've been itching to build another boat, a kayak this time... and cherry for the gunwales, thwarts, stems & seats, it's nicer than maple for that.
