Another reefing mystery. Perhaps you have a very light outbreak of green algae?

thats why I said light outbreak. the stuff in our skimmer is pretty concentrated, you would likely not see it in the water column. hopefully the carbon helps though

any chance some "little one" could have put something in the tank or sump???

No little ones here. Plus sump and top of tank are enclosed

I've found that the colour of my skimmate is directly related to the colour of the pellets I feed.

it happens to me when there is food left overs
or if i forgot to remove whats not eaten in the clip
rooggers reef food or my pellets
the next day, for sure my skimmate is neon green or blue
