groggy? I don't have a groggy...I have a Froggy

My frogfish is in a 10g tank that is by my bar downstairs. My 34g is in my main living-room, upstairs by the front door. The 34g will be home to Doug's tankmates from his 25g, so he doesn't have to move his 25g and 110g all at the same time. Then after he is fully moved in and he has his 260g running (wont be until after March 2012 sometime) and has added on a 30g ish tank to that system, then we'll move his fish and coral over (the ones that will be in my 34g) to his small tank, and then move my froggy to my 34g.

Ok so my tetris rock scape wasn't the best idea.....awhile ago I found my top rock on the bottom of the tank Couple of wads of epoxy later and I feel better now

I also got some needle point mesh screen from wal-mart and modified my overflow so little gobies stay out. Worked for my yasha, since I've add it I haven't found him in the overflow. However the other day I found my stripehead goby in there not sure how he got in there

"Nano goby fence" -as Doug calls it

I've had to do that on a few tanks too. The mesh is a pretty tight weave though, you'll need to keep on top of scraping the algae off.

One idea I'd consider if I was in that situation is I'd make a little frame out of acrylic that you can just plop on top of the overflow. Ie., an acrylic lid with say eggrcrate glued to that spaced so that it sits close to flush on the inside of the overflow's eggcrate, and then zapstrap the mesh to that eggcrate. That way when it comes time to clean it you just lift it up, take it to the sink, and plop it back in place 5 minutes later.

So long as you only use eyes to look I think you're safe.

Nice fix Laurie... you're lucky there were no corals down there that's a good sized piece.

Yes thankfully there was no corals or little fish in the spot were it fell. Freaked out for a bit when I first saw it on the sand bed then saw all my fish were fine and breathed a sigh of relief.
