Is there room left in the hood for the dimming kit, or does it need to be placed outside of it?

Default FYIO : Radion shoehorned into RSM 130

http://www.bcaquaria.com/forum/marin...45/#post176484

The above link to a fella who put in a new radion led lite under the hood of the RSM 130.... he tried a few other lites with unsatisfactory results but says this is ok for illuminating the entire tank except if you have too much over hangs in the aquascape, there's still some shadowsn.

Considering the $800 price, lite is about the same price as a new tank itself.

Would be interesting to see how modularled's setup compares though. I think 2 stunner strips probably will be necessary.

Why would a strip of 1W LEDs be necessary?

You certainly do not need any additional lumens but I think its more for eliminating shadows if you have tall rock work.

Dimming kit goes inside. Take a look at the full instructions link. About half way down you will see where I installed the dimmers.
