Default return 1 1/2" bulkheads Can i add ABS?

My 2 1 1/2" bulkheads from the retun lines inside my overflow boxes are on each side of my tank. I would like to either put threaded 45's on there or try and manifold them and tap lok lines into a fitting?
BUT my tank is all black inside and I dont want to add any white pipes on the inside.... all i can find is black abs and I was told its alot worse for chemical leeching?
my first thought was to put plugs in then drill and tap them for 3 3/4" and run tripple lok lines on each... any added head pressure will just blow back to my skimmer and thats a plus as well
Any ideas or examples of options?

I have ran 1 1/4 abs in my sump for 3 years with no ill effects. I think its only the abs glue that is a little more toxic. After all all the bulks heads we use are all abs.

Awesome..... Thats what I was thinking.... As the plumbers wholesale and the "reef ready" bulkheads are from the same plant lol

ABS just has better chemical resistance, it doesn't leach anything, a simple myth.

I was told from a few LFS the reason I pay double to tripple for those bulkheads is because they are made of "reef safe" abs...
but when you talk to say BRS they explain they all come from the same plant ect... I didnt even think this would be the same for piping.

then shouldn't we be using a transition cement when tying into the rest of the plumbing (I didn't, but then I didn't use special cement for my Spaflex either)
