How much room is there between the closest rock and front glass?

Default Aquascape

The rock that was used for the wall is approx 1"-2.5" thick. The arches are the closest to the front glass and leave about 2"-3" to the glass for cleaning etc. They could also be moved back or changed without doing any harm to those rocks or the rest of the aquascape.

On the left end of the tank, the rock wall pretty well butts up to the front pane of glass. I planned to cover about 1" of the left end of the front pane when building the canopy, but also made sure that it looks nice and clean where it butts up, even if not covered by stand/canopy
Hope this makes sense.

Aquascaping process (new photos added):

Flat sided rock from Eco-Reefer attached securely to egg crate with zip ties. An adhesive expanding foam product called Rockin' Foam (meant for tanks and ponds etc) was used to fill the gaps between the rocks. Crushed Eco-Reefer rock and crushed aragonite sand is pressed into the wet foam starting with larger pieces and moving to the aragonite sand to fill in. The rock wall is then solid. The 3 to 4 pieces were then glued to the tank walls using reef safe silicone and blended with the same process as above.

- I spent days researching which products to use to ensure the tank is 100% reef safe
- The aquascaping took weeks to perfect
- The rock wall is SOLID and extremely well adhered to the tank
- The spaces between the Eco-Reefer rock are very well blended and look quite natural in person

See the new photos and comments on the Flickr site if you are interested.

Was this tank ever filled? How did it perform? Thanks.

Yes I did fill the tank before I started aquascaping to ensure everything went smoothly. The overflow works great, the mag 7 is definately enough (and may need to be dialed back with a ball valve depending), the sump works great as well and has enough capacity to hold the tank runoff if the power were to go out. No issues and definately no leaks.

As requested, see notes on the aquascaping process (prior edited posts) and new photos showing some of the process
