I never seem to mind the start-of-winter snow so much - bring on the skiing/sledding/boarding/snowshoeing/whatever-it-is-that-people-do-in-winter -- but it's what I like to call "the month of May" that things are viewed a little bit differently..
I thought I had heard Calgary was supposed to get 15cm of snow overnight - not sure where I heard that now  but yeah sunny and gorgeous out there for the moment.. The ski hills are open around here - Nakiska is open, Wintergreen/COP is open .. not sure if the mountain parks open but if not already, it has to be soon..

Its not snow its soft hail and the grass is brown cause its been super dry this SUMMER!...cause I say so
