![]() So, thinking of upgrading my reef from a 33 with 20 gallon sump to another room might put a 45 gallon sump or so on it. Not upgrading lights again so 36" display it is lol
I need to move it and it will be setup in new place for 2 years minimum so, I figured, better upgrade the size. The reason it needs to move is draft, its to damn draft and high traffic where it is unfortunately. What do you reefer people think? I want to hear some input on easiest way to move a reef tank from one room to another while keeping all the life forms in it alive and healthy. No rush, can take a week to do this if needed. Please help.... |

![]() what I do is transfer as much water in to buckets and place fish in buckets of water and corals in buckets of water I also keep my LR in buckets of water.I tend to have a few salt buckets around the house. They have lids and if it is going to take some time you can put a small power head in with the fish and a heater also, a little over the side filter does well also then you don't need the power head. I would upgrade to a 49g bowfront you would like it get one with a over flow, your light will fit it perfect.

![]() So as much as I'd like to upgrade it's not in the budget : (
I went and bought a 21 gal rubbermade and put an overflow bulkhead in it. I'll most likely just use it for extra water volume and dosing/top up chamber. Gives me a 60 gallon system now though. Yay. Going to start the buckets filling now. Pics later |
