Hey grizz, if you use the right magnet it's safe for your starfire and acrylic tanks as well they all come with the acrylic pad

Incredible product! I have one myself for my half circle tank and it was even strong enough to clean the curved glass! AND NOW they float?!! - the old version did not and it was the only thing I didnt love about the product. Awesome Steve!

Well in that case I might check out out next time I am in. I don't want ANYTHING to go wrong in the new 300.
