I absolutely LOVE clams. My first attempt at owning one though, I was not successful.

Thank you for sharing your pics. ~drool~

Any tips for a newbie so I might have a better go at it the second time around? Is any one clam easier than another?

derasas, squamosas and hippos are considered to be more tolerant of tank conditions......I think some people just try clams too soon in their tanks life.....they really do need a mature, stable tank.......

Well I must admit I'm an addict too. It's been 18 long years... sob... and still going.

This whole clam addiction is actually a vicious circle. First you get a few clams, then a few more, then a few fish to feed the clams ammonia, then a few more clams, then more fish. The cycle never ends... but the good thing is you can throw out the bio pellets and drink the vodka. ;D

Just remember... clams aren't hard on the liver.
