When I had my frags in there I was only running 150 watt halides. But I did run a 250 watt halide on my 20 gallon frag tank which was only about 11" of water I think. They were all about 8" off the surface of the water I think. But it's really up to you - all you really have to watch for is acclimating the frags to higher or lower light with placement.

That looks better than most people's display tanks!

It is the only fixture I have ATM so it will have to do. I was thinking of putting it at 24" from the bottom of the tank to the underside of the fixture, that would give me lots of room together into the tank.

How is your frag supply Dez? Might be up there this weekend.

Update time.......

Euro braced the tank, changed the return pump to a Quite One 5000 & put my Tunze 9010 skimmer in.

Here's a FTS

Closer shot, half at a time

Left half:

Right half:

A few close up shots of some Zoas, paly's & SPS

NOW.... before anyone says ANYTHING about the Tangs in here, IT'S TEMPORARY helping out a few friends for a few weeks.

Need to hang the light yet but might just wait on that until I get some LED's built.

. I think you dropped the ball on that one...not much of a frag tank Greg. Would probably work good as a display though

Ya I know but I had a buddy that needed to shut down a tank so we brought all his zoas, clam & a few other coral to this tank.

There are some frag's in there though
