buy two smaller tanks and drill a hole in both, attach them together with bulkheads. Once one tank fills it will overflow into the second. You can do three tanks if you are that constrained. make sure the connecting pipes are big enough to handle the flow.

ya, I have something similar to what you are suggesting right now and is not working very well, that's the reason why I designed this to serve my needs exactly .
