![]() Thanks for the write up. I atually have a kalk reactor that I took down a few weeks ago due to it being a PITA by having a back syphon in to the fresh water source. I just put up that DIY figuring it might interest some members. I see Randy J Farley uses vinager and just guages it by the amount of film algae on his glass. He also does'nt check nitrates.

![]() Perfect write up. I love how in depth you went. CAn you mix larger patches this way? Or just stick to 1 liter at a time? How much do you drip each day?

![]() Yes, you can mix larger batches. In fact, this method is better for larger batches than conventional kalk dosing. I usually mix 5 gallons at a time.
