|   Start with the basics, bulbs, connections, grounds, conuniutity from switches to the bulbs, power at the connectors, seeing the age i would check the resistance in the wiring also could have some corrosion issues. At least it should be an easy system no ecms or anything.

|   we have determined the signals to be a switch issue so im ordering one tomorrow , and it got too dark to work on the tail light so thats tomorrows project

|   Signal switches are usually the culprit, it was my issue on my 2000 Magna that I also have. Fairly easy fix, tail light should be simple to find if you found the signal problem this fast. Nice job Dennis
