It's originally meant for keeping birds out of gardens so check with garden supply stores maybe...

I have found it at Rona and Home Depot called bird netting in the garden centre.

Not at all! If I can do it...anyone can!
Just used screen door "kit"...cut the aluminum pieces to size, piece together with the corner inserts, use the ribbing to make the netting tight in the screen door and it's done! Fantastic cover, light passes right through, and it keeps "most" fish in!

I have tried Home depot, Rona, Co-op and Canadian tire and have never found the clear mesh. All they had was the green or black variety.

Bulk Reef Supply now carries the 1/2" and 1/4" clear mesh in 6.5' x 2.5' pre-cut pieces. Sadly they've been sold out for quite some time now as I've been wanting to build a mesh lid as well.

I have the darker colored actually...and it is sooo fine that it really does not affect the light passing through...I think it is 1/2" squares.
