Default Baby Names

This April my wife Heather and I are expection our first child. I thought I would ask for some input on names. We are going to wait and see on the sex. I am asking for help as I have not yet found the one that jumps out at me from all the lists that I have been searching and feel that I may have missed the "One". If you know the meaning that would be interesting.

Thanks,
Marcus

I, I mean we named our two babies marie patrice diane cusson and thomas david peter cusson. Our girl we named her after the doctor's that save my wife and our
daughter life.

Our son ,we named him after grand fathers and the cop that save my wife and daughter
and unborn son when my wife got t-boned badly.

So don,t be in a hurry to name the little tike.the moment you see him or her you will know what name
is right. Thats how we did it . dave

I agree with the above statement, you can painstakingly pick a name, then when your tike is born you change it on the spur of the moment. I would suggest that you pick names that you both DONT like, makes the spur a little easier, and gives more time for staring into that beautiful face =)

If my wife and I had a boy instead of a girl he was going to be named
Pheonix or Kai.

I love the new trend towards unusual names

Most recent names given to new family members and friends:

Boys...
Jalen (twice!)
Tevin

Girl...
Mesa

I can't agree with the trend toward unusual or "exotic" names.

You need to think how the name will suit this the kid when he/she is grown up.

One mom named her kid Cinnamon, very cute for a baby, not so cute when this kid grows up. I don't understand this trend of naming kids after food items.

I think people would be doing their kids a favour if they chose traditional names (such as names from the Bible) or other names appropriate to their cultural background.

Just my opinion.

IMO the best names are Sarah, Amanda, Theresa, James, Jacob, Joseph, Katherine, Jennifer, Grace, or Daniel.

unusual names can be good, just silly names dont make sense.

cinnamon, august, autumn, spring etc are strange names that dont make sense to me.
