It was Family Day here in Alberta, did not realize they have it to in Ontario.

I checked they have family day too.... Even Sask. for a few years has had it... Poor B.C.

OK I call BS! You mean to say some provinces got a holiday and some didn't? You Canadians sometimes confuse me

I think even Manitoba has it to but they call it Louis Riel day

As far as I know we don't have it in Newfoundland - I've never had it anyway. I'm almost 100% sure - most people grumble down here that there is no holiday between New Year and Easter.

Is that what regatta day is for? I always thought that was in place of everyone else's civic holiday, which all municipalities get. I thought their family day was in addition to that. Correct me if I'm wrong....

was mentioned at work Monday, not sure if it's 100 percent correct.....
