SEE THE RESULTS I POSTED ON THE NEXT PAGE.

Has any of you guys that bought led threw this post tested them yet.
Reason for asking
i just tested the XPG and XPE with a puckpuck 24VDC 1Amps maximum drive.
Running the XPG cool white have no problem at all.
Running the XPE royal blue well they keep on burning, but if i test them at a 700Ma no problem.
To my understanding XPE could run at 1000Ma without burning.
yes the heatsink temp is at 25 degree.
yes i placed 6 led in a series for the buckpuks.
and yes i do have a test meter.

This reply is not intended for bad thread.i just need to know because i was planning to place an order for the drivers tomorrow(it does make a big difference if XPE royal blue will not run at 1000Ma.

thanks

Although the XPE's are "able" to run at 1000mA...I don't if anyone recommends it. I would try to stay around the 800mA range to prolong life and wear.

they are staying on for no more than 10 seconds.
i would like to run them at wat their max should be because i have no problem keeping the temperature near 27 degree.
power supply i used on an old led setup 24VDC 6.5 Amps
dimmable 24VDC 1000Ma buckpuck. cant recall the model but i used it on my old system running it at 1000Ma for phillips 3w led and no problem.

Now everyone is going to be scared to run theirs at 1000mA to check it out! Well I don't think any other LED looks like the XP-E expect the XP-G and the XP-C. The XP-G only comes in white, the XP-C does come in royal blue but they would burn at 700mA. So I don't think they mixed up the LEDs (hopefully). How are you measuring your current?

Mine are running perfect - all 20 of them! And the light they throw off is amazing. I replaced a 250 W MH (on a 50 gallon 36" long tank) with 30 LEDs and I think I have more light now than i did before!
