Could you put me down for 4 of the xm-l on the next order? I don't plan on using optics anyway. I tried doing it on the website but it gave me the absurd shipping cost of over $30!

nlreefguy, they actually ship out of USA now so its getting expensive.
I can ship it first class mail for you (option is back on website) but there is no tracking information which sucks.

If you want, the first class mail is back up on the site for today but im going to take it back down because I just feel weird about not having tracking information.

I just put in my order on your website.

But $30 shipping for 4 LED's? Kind of negates the savings you'd get from the group buy altogether. I just had a large heatsink shipped to me with some other things from another LED retailer and the shipping for ALL of it came to less than that, and that's a large heavy heat sink measuring 24" in length.

I'm not trying to be a a**hole but the shipping might start turning away some of your potential customers. Or maybe I'm totally out of my mind and the other guys just gave me the wrong shipping price or something....

Nice, i just saw you got the T6s. You gota flaunt those around and get them in a build thread with some pics as soon as you get them. I think there is only a hand full of people that have the T6s and even less in Canada.

ya shipping sucks. USPS has flat rate boxes that allow me to stuff as much as I can in the box not worrying about weight. So 4 LEDs is same as bricks.

im trying to find ways to make the shipping cheaper but still cover everyones butt.

SEE THE RESULTS I POSTED ON THE NEXT PAGE.

Has any of you guys that bought led threw this post tested them yet.
Reason for asking
i just tested the XPG and XPE with a puckpuck 24VDC 1Amps maximum drive.
Running the XPG cool white have no problem at all.
Running the XPE royal blue well they keep on burning, but if i test them at a 700Ma no problem.
To my understanding XPE could run at 1000Ma without burning.
yes the heatsink temp is at 25 degree.
yes i placed 6 led in a series for the buckpuks.
and yes i do have a test meter.

This reply is not intended for bad thread.i just need to know because i was planning to place an order for the drivers tomorrow(it does make a big difference if XPE royal blue will not run at 1000Ma.

thanks

Although the XPE's are "able" to run at 1000mA...I don't if anyone recommends it. I would try to stay around the 800mA range to prolong life and wear.

Actually I'm still looking for a good driver for them. I'm looking for a driver that can power them to their full potential in a strip by themselves. I'm going to light my frag tank with them and supplement actinic with T5's (or possibly get some more royal blues, haven't made up my mind yet). So I'm looking for a good driver than can take advantage of the full 3A potential, run only the four of them in a strip and is dimmable. Any ideas?

They look like they have a lot of options but, forgive me, I'm not technically inclined enough to know which is the right one for me. I was hoping to find something a little more "plug and play" than those!
