A coral's environment can dictate it's morphology, which makes identification even more challenging.

yes my mantra is "this won't last forever" but the 3 hours of sleep a night I get is taking its toll, and frankly it feels like forever

I totally agree, all I know about A. valida and A. nana is that it always seems to keep this same coloration. Really its just a WAG and I love that corals can be so different in different conditions. I really enjoy giving others frags and seeing what they do in their tanks, which is often something quite different from what they do in mine

I have to say Christy's photo skills are a bit lacking. This tank looks even better in person, I could have stared at it for hours. Actually, I did

Absolutely stunning colors in this tank!!

Why NOT to go to Christy's house when your tank is already full...

Haven't had much time for the tank lately. I bought a matted filefish to take care of the majanos, he didn't do much and only ate mysis. I gave him a couple of weeks to get interested in them but decided I'd bought yet another "dud" fish and went ahead and bought an Aiptasia Zapper from Oceanic Corals. It worked pretty well, I figure about 50% of what I tried to kill stayed dead, I don't think I was zapping them long enough. I left the tank yet again with no time to deal with it and by the time I did have a few spare minutes to zap a few more I couldn't find a single majano in the tank. The filefish had finally discovered those tasty morsels. He won't have anything to do with the aiptasia though so I had to take matters into my own hands. All the accessible ones are dead but there are a few lurking in hard to reach spots.

Other than that, I'm still battling cyano, story of my life. Got a few pics of the tank snapped with my cell phone. First camera to actually accurately capture the colors. Not too shabby. Anyway heres the pics:

My computer is crashing so I'm hitting the submit button. More later
