Hardware: Super Reef Octopus SSS-3000, Tunze ATO, Mag 18 return, 2x MP40W, 2X Koralia 4's Wavemaker
Lighting: 5ft Hamilton Belize Sun (2x250W MH, 2X80W T5HO)
Type of Aquarium: mixed reef (SPS & LPS) with fish
Dosing: Mg, Ca, Alk

That would have worked for me as well. I was thinking that I glued the pipes into the bulkheads but that would just have been silly because where's the water going to leak, into the output line anyway. They were just press fit in and I could have easily twisted one of the stand pipes out. Hopefully I have this thing buttoned up enough now that I won't have to try your method next!
