I can't find min in my 33gal. Saw him once last week.

I see mine He hides really well but since it's a 2g tank and I know the spots he hides in I can usually see his body in the hidey hole under the rock.

A trick that sometimes works is to bury a small piece of PVC pipe with the entrance in an area where you can see him. Or create an appropriate sized cave. Hopefully he'll choose this as his home. I did this with a large barnacle for my Yellow Watchman Goby.
