![]() Thanks man. Um I am now wondering since I have the tank full of water and rocks, how long do I need to let the tank cycle if I have to at all. Cause I did use rock from my other tank hat has been going for 8 months now and sand from my old fuge. I also filled half the tank with water from my other tank.

![]() There won't be much of a cycle at all, depenging on how long the rock was out of water. If just a few minutes then there shouldn't be any die off. Still recommended to wait a few months before adding coral, but hardy fish and clean up crew can go in.

Here's a link with a few suggestions. Its all presonal preferance though, just make sure not to overstock. Chromis's or some small clowns would be my first suggestions. As for auto top off you can go as cheap as about $40 to build one yourself and have it work or as much as $250. I recommend getting one that has multiple redundent safetys to keep your floor dry though. Tunze would be the most commonly recommended one, but its about $200. DIY kits will work and may never fail on you, but be prepared if they do. |

![]() idk i dont really want clowns cause that seems to b the norm for nanos, they look nice and all but i want something different maybe a green clown goby and ill c if one of the LFS her in calgay can get a red scooter on frozen for me. i could try that and if he starts to fade ill pop him into my 45 cause it has a bunch o pods and a fuge. or maybe just a goby and blenny and some inverts. what are some inverts that wont go after eachother in this small of a tank? and what do would be a good CUC for this tank???????? will blue hermies work they have nice colors and are nice and compact (r they known to pick at corals at all?)

![]() Yeah the Red Scooter I wouldn't put in a 10 gallon. Mine at mysis at the store, as soon as he went into my tank he wouldn't touch the stuff.
Blue hermits are ok for a cuc for a tank this small and won't bother the corals. Maybe a cleaner shrimp or something of that sort aswell. |

![]() ok good to know about the red scooter. i think ill try the blue hermits and maybe a blood shrimp cause they sooooo sick and i already have a skunk in my 45. maybe a pom pom wouldn't b out of the question haha. i think ill try to get a flaming prawn goby if i can get my hands on one havent seem em' in stores and they r expensive in the internet so i might get one in a little bit when im sure my tank is stable. and maybe a tail spot blenny cause they have a lot of personality. I'll have a couple days to decide i guess i might go on the weekend and pick something up and c what the LFS has for ATO's.
