Also you could use foam, the same stuff you use between your tanks and stand.

![]() what i did to quiet my sump for vibrtion was lay those interlocking child mats you can get from can-tire under sump cut to size that alone reduced vibration. you could do the same under the skimmer if you liked but i started at the sump. and in all honesty my sump compartment is quieter than my fridge when it runs i hear the over flow more so

![]() Anyone with more knowledge in foam able to give any in site on wether this stuff would work? Seen it at the local micheals. Its nice and thin, seems like it's close to mousepad material. Cheap too. $1.69 a sheet. All it said was foam sheet and acid free. If its given the ok I'll be throwing some under my skimmer as I'm having the same issue.
