![]() Looks great. How do you manage to study and stuff in that pad? If it were me there would be way too many distractions. Must ... integrate .. second order differentials .... oooh pretty red polyps! *3 hours later* Must .. integrate ... second order differentials ....... oooh a featherduster! *many hours later* I should really start this essay. Hello fishy fishy!

![]() I've wondered that myself a couple times. I'm not sure though, the ones I've seen had had more blue but it's hard to tell since the differences could be because of juvenile colouration or something like that (or lighting/camera/etc stuff).
Some pictures of blochii I took earlier this year: If it helps cinch an ID..

![]() Thanks for the suggestions guys, I guess I will have to wait for him to mature a bit more before I really take a swing at the ID.
That being said I would be ecstatic if he turned out like your photos Tony, what a magnificent looking fish! I would think this is the juvi ring tail: ![]() VS ![]() They certainly look similar but its not 100%. Maybe I have some sort of ring tail hybrid? Anyone have any good books for fish IDing lying around? On another note I boxed in my sump as the noise from my new skimmer was bugging me. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money so I went as cheap as possible. 1/2"thick pink insulating Styrofoam cut, spray painted black and affixed to the stand with velcro cost me just over $50.00 for all the supplies. Stupid cat's are now using the stand as a scratching post... At least there not peeing on it. |
