If algae is growing and your nitrite is zero your cycle is complete.

Base rock has it's advantages but it will take a long time to look good and get nuisance algae under control.

I wish I could have used some of my Solana rock in the new tank, however the current pests residing in the solana's rock, lead me to the use of the new pest free dry rock.
