Sorry to hear. Although to be fully frank it sounds like a sort of normal day for me "Please let me know what else I can screw up today" is my motto.

There's always tomorrow. (He says meaning it as well intentioned but realizing it can be taken two ways - no, no, optimism! Optimism!)

Get out the weldon and make lemonade Christy.

Then buy a mated pair of mp60s and let them make sweet love in your water column.

lol, I don't get the "one of those days" reference...sounds pretty typical for about 10 years worth of days so far

Good idea for a forum though, Stupid Reefing Days. We can all post what not to do to further mess things up. I spent an hour picking little bits of crap out of my tank, old shells, a bit of valonia, bunch of house cleaning stuff. Painstakingly pulled stuff, put it in a container, put said container on canopy, took a break, came back and closed canopy, and ya, dumped everything back into the tank. Sometimes you just gotta back away slowly.....

LOL, ya I've done that too. At least its already picked so its fairly easy to siphon out (unless the fish are already playing volleyball with the valonia)

Ha! Most of my tank problems oddly enough, stem from my wife's stupid Beagle (notice I said her's: I lay no claim to that dog. My breed is the Boxer). In no particular order the Beagle has: eaten three screws from my new light fixture; tipped over and ate an entire jar of NLS flakes; chewed holes in the ATO tubing causing a small flood; left her chew bone on the steps where I could trip on it and spill a cup full of skimmate on myself; and lastly, prefers to leave me "gifts" right in front of the outside sump where I have to either clean it up or step in it. (I don't understand how a dog that doesn't come up to my knee produces "gifts" the size of a Great Dane's.

You could probably find a way to blame all the nog facial accidents on the dog too if you try hard enough.
