just make sure to use a refractometer and not a float or needle float reader.

2 cups of IO per gallon? I think you need to recheck your refrac!

In a 5gal pail I do 3 scoops of IO and I get 1.026. I just switched to RC and do 3.5-4 cups of salt in the same 5 gallon pail to make 1.026.
