![]() if you get a gramma, go for 2 or even 3...they form the most interesting heirarchy/harem.
Mine are SO rewarding for such a low maintenance, relatively cheap fish. Last edited by gobytron; 08-18-2010 at 02:54 PM. |

![]() I'm no expert and this may sound stupid. But with my tank that is'nt too much bigger than yours, the clown gobies just seem to disappear. Someone once told me that they are best suited in a nano tank. Does'nt make sense since they come from a much bigger place.

![]() They probably are better suited to a nano, but it probably depends on the individual personality of the fish. My yellow clown goby tends to hang out on the chalice, on the sides of the tank and even comes out for an open water swim every now and again. My green clown goby on the other hand just sits in the palys all day. I really have to look to see him.

![]() greens are traditionally more cryptic than their yellow counterparts.
I also think to be successful with these fish you have to have coral they can hide in... they prefer acropora, but any large coral that they can form a safe area in to perch alleviates a lot of the stress from being such a tiny organism. I had 2 in my 72 gallon for a year that formed a breeding pair. i got rid of them (to another reefer) because they kep clearing off large sections of my sps to lay eggs on... |
