I have a tunze 6055/single controller and a nano wavebox...
The wave box stands out as one of the most rewarding purchases I have ever made for my reef. Eliminates detritus build up and creates an unparalleled swaying motion in the tank that I would be surprised if the vortechs could duplicate. I think the 6055 is more comparable to the vortechs though the vortechs seem to offer more versatility over the Tunze's power/pulse adjustability.

Even with a single MP40W on my 6' I can still get a wave going, just have to set it properly using short/ long pulse mode. I was going to purchase a wave box until I saw this effect in person.

hmmm...
can you post a video? I haven't seen an adequate wave (compared to the wavebox') from a vortech yet... I played around with an mp40 on my friends 60 gallon for like an hour but couldn't figure it out...

It took me a little tweeking also, when I get home tonight I will try and do up a movie for you. Personally for me it was setting it to the long pulse mode and finding the exact power/ delay.
Tunzee would be my second in line though, I loved the one pump I used but they are a little bulky.

I'd try one out if I knew it was really that versatile.... How high would you say the wave is? With my wave box, I get about a 1" wave with all my other flow on. it's more like 1+1/2" with just the wave box on though... 50"X24"X18" tank...
