Thanks everyone, definately feeling a little depressed about it, not sure if I'll try another one or not as they have such bad track records Might try a file fish for aptasia control.

I was under the impression the filefish weren't reef safe?

Then again, my CBB ate 2 of my clams and left the 3rd alone like it didn't exist...

i dont think most are i only know of one, its the matted filefish and it still may nip at stuff so not sure if its labeled reef safe, but mine cleaned out my aiptasia and doesnt touch anything plus its well fed and will eat anything dropped in the tank ive had him for five or six months now

heres a pic of mine

although my aiptasia problem is gone in my display i took some newly aiptasia free rock and put it in my 33 and with in a week or two it was back, so i think it eats it because ive witnessed it but scares the rest from coming out again untill its safe or their hungry or who knows

I think filefish mostly eat/nip sps corals not so much softies/lps. Probably eat shrimp too but I don't have any shrimp so I'm not worried about that.

Sorry you lost her.
As for the reason, Copper banded Butterfly like achilles and powder blue tangs and several other fish up and die for no apparent reason.
Be grateful that you were lucky to have her with you and enjoy her for as long as you did.

How long do they live?? because if you got it as adult it might have been already old and if you have it for 4 years, it might just have died from old age?

Happens.
