![]() Vortech or Tunze - toss a coin. Either way you'll be happy.

![]() I have An MP40 and 3 Tunze Turbelle with controllers. Both great powerheads, although I've had to replace the entire wet side of the MP40 and a few other washers and such, where as I've never touched the Tunze's expect for a little cleaning.
Just my thoughts.

![]() I have a tunze 6055/single controller and a nano wavebox...
The wave box stands out as one of the most rewarding purchases I have ever made for my reef. Eliminates detritus build up and creates an unparalleled swaying motion in the tank that I would be surprised if the vortechs could duplicate. I think the 6055 is more comparable to the vortechs though the vortechs seem to offer more versatility over the Tunze's power/pulse adjustability. |

![]() Even with a single MP40W on my 6' I can still get a wave going, just have to set it properly using short/ long pulse mode. I was going to purchase a wave box until I saw this effect in person.

![]() hmmm...
can you post a video? I haven't seen an adequate wave (compared to the wavebox') from a vortech yet... I played around with an mp40 on my friends 60 gallon for like an hour but couldn't figure it out... |
