That is part of it from what I know I bought a couple frags from Brenda and she is a very nice person. I think what made it a bit worse is no_bs broke her computer and left everything behind when he left. maybe he thinks that by leaving everything behind she could recoup some money from all the stuff he had bought and never used. They did have some big plans for a very nice fish room and it looks like it would be very nice fish room. I wouldn't mind some of the equipment he left behind but I can not afford any of it. When I was there Brenda was doing fine and moving on with life. This is what she needed not some one hounding her, I do commend no_bs for publicly apologizing to her that is a big move in the right direction. I was there for about an hour and we did talk but not about what happened as it is not my business. If she wanted to say some thing to get it off her shoulders that would have been fine but I would not repeat it. I can say she really liked having the fish in the house but has no idea how to care for them and up keep them. I did tell her that if i lived close I would cut her back to 1 tank and upkeep it till she learned how to do what is needed, but I live in Kamloops. no_bs has said what he wanted and now leave it that like that, those that want to wash others personal lives in public should be ashamed. I do not mean the one's that are confused as to what is going on here. They don't know and don't need to know Brenda and no_bs have not personally told them and that is the way it should stay. Brenda has been getting some help from a friend but his knowledge is limited in this hobby.

ok so what does this have to do with the board???

typing words on a board means absolutly nothing, if it isn't in person, then why bother, especialy on a public forum for fish, not relationships.

It was an apology and this is the Lounge where people can post anything not fish related. Be considerate. Hes trying to do something nice. Some of what happened was part of this board, its nice to know hes trying to fix things.
Give the guy some slack, and if you dont have anything nice to say then just keep it to yourself.

bvlester: I agree with everything you just said.

Hmmm. After reading some of the posts I think I should point out to some members that although this is a forum that for the most part deals with the care of aquatic life it does have a spot for general discussion about any topic so long as you are not slandering or forcing religious or political viewpoints on other members as far as I understand any other topic is fine, we have had members discussing everything from losing partners to battling cancer on this forum. This is a part of Canreef we should all be very thankful for as whether you are typing on a computer to some anonymous people that you may never meet or talking to a close friend in person, it's all fine imo. If a person doesn't want anything other than reef discussions, scroll by the general forums and don't read them, again another freedom you can do with this forum. I wish them both the best in their struggles and hope all works out. Nuff said.

My point is if you know nothing of the situation don't start asking all kinds of questions. he posted an apology and that was good of him but I don't think any thing he does will not get them back together but they may be friends in the end.

hmm ya it is isn't it

what I meant is even though it is a lounge area is it really appropriate to air out dirty laundry here?

and to comment on a couple posts that say not to ask about it and stuff. what do you really expect. a public post is mad that has some seriousness to it and is very vague. you actually think people aren't going to wonder?

if you don't want someone to ask about something or get upset when they do, why post it in a public forum?

as for closing the thread.. ya I agree that it should also be removed out of concern of the parties privacy.

Well, since the party is the party that started the party, I don't think there are any privacy concerns. If this guy wants to share TMI with the board, I guess that's his choice. It's not the first marital spat, prolly not the last
I dunno.......
