It looks cool but I would have a tough time justifying $450.

Um wow I thought the forehead prints on my tank glass was as close as you could get... I was wrong.

I didn't think these had a camera adapter? Be funny if the images were in fact taken with a ref macro. I'd say buy a macro, pop it on a tripod and then go exploring. Could cost you twice as much but then you can capture what you see.

i picked up a digital microscope for $60 to observe my roterfers-hooks up to my computer and i can capture images as well as make movies-a lot cheaper alternative

I can certainly see it being possible to take pictures (especially if it 'suctions' on to the tank?)... I take pictures through REAL microscopes all the time with my phone's camera and it does a terrific job, and im doing it free-hand. With a tripod-mounted camera through that scope, im sure one could do those pics through there (Assuming it can zoom in that well)

I thought maybe Greg (Snappy) had one of these? I remember that page from someone saying they had one (or was thinking of picking up). Might be worth asking him if he has one and what he thinks of it.

I dunno, sounds neat, if I run out of things that cost $450 to buy I could consider it. But until then though I've got a long list of other things to work though.
