well hard to tell in the water, 12" was just an estimate with mantles open. but it should be 10-12" anyways. i should put a can of coke or something beside it for reference lol. i'll put up a pic once i have it.

ok heres a beer can lol, pics taken on my berry so isnt that great but you get the idea.
12" might be a stretch 10" is more reasonable.
