I've heard of people being addicted to white rock but it is usually "Crack". You might have a problem.

i have 2 large systems in the works
along with a seahorse system and a quarantine system for fish and one for corals.
I figure there will be about 1500 gallons in total

Nice, anything 1000g and over is a very bad obssesion. Way better than the kilnk or worse "CRACK".
