wy not use magnets?
rare earth magnets can be picked up in bulk for pretty cheap and would allow a user to adjust the float level with little to no hassle.

Sorry, kind of slow on this. How do you attach the float switch to magnet? what is the size of magnet do you use? Thanks

try glue...lol
gorilla glue would prob work just fine..

I've used mag floats in the past.

any size that will firmly hold your float in place, thats why rare earth is better, more power in a smaller package.

I have thought about using the neodym magnets, but the only problem is the float switches themselves are magnetically triggered. Now if the holder magnets are too strong, it will hold the switch down in a closed/open circuit and it'll top off 24/7 non stop or not top off at all... so we really have to find the right strength magnet to pair up with the float switches for that method to work.

Now if the magnets can only be so strong then glass thickness becomes something to address unless we only want it to work on 1/4" thick glass..but one possible solution to that is build the holder so it extends further out away from the magnet.
