![]() In a small area the ocean actually surges and flows all in one direction at a time. Hot tubs flow all over and in every direction all of the time. Therefore fewer yet larger sources of flow (that alternate) are actually more natural.
You need to take into consideration their adult sizes when choosing the fish that you want to keep. 120gal isn't actually a very large tank. For many medium size reef fish like tangs and butterflys most sources consider it only slightly more than a minimum size. I deal with a lot of aggression issues in my 120gal and I only have 7 different fish. Many of which are very similar to what you have listed: a tang, butterfly, wrasse, dragonet, and damselfish. More fish means more aggression, territorial behavior, stress, waste, disease outbreaks etc. Your lighting sounds fine however I'm a MH person so I cant really comment.

![]() I have a 120g as well. I have 8 small fish at the moment and will probably only add a few more, maybe. I would also think twice about adding two of anything.

![]() Thanks Guys
I have been working on my fish list. I know it needs work but it's always hard to decide. I only put 2 of everything because i thought it would look nice ![]() I will also be looking into getting either different powerheads or in the placement. Maybe a few on one wall pointing the same way but different directions and a few others to disperse around the tank! Or just buy new ones (with my small budget ![]() Thanks So much with the help!
