![]() I know these can be a pest just like GSP.
In my last tank I had a rock dedicated to GSP that was isolated from my main rock structure and I observed no spread beyond that rock. I had read that when the colony reaches some saturation point it can actually jetison polyps to then find a new home but I never witnessed this. Would it be possible to contain the clove polyps in a similar manner? Or is there a similar saturation point risk? Or can crabs etc tear polyps off to then be set free and spread? I'd love a splash of blue in the front in my low light area. |

![]() I thought the same thing but they spread like wildfire all over my rocks, looks really nice but it's intrusive!

![]() Cloves can and will spawn to spread throughout a system. I had them on a frag plug in my sump rack, and now there are a few here and there in the DT.
