![]() As an insurance broker in Alberta, I'd recommend you contact your insurance broker in BC and explain the entire situation to them, find out what you can and can't get coverage for, and then decide if you want to pay for the coverage they can get you. Your broker is your best bet to find out what exactly your policy covers you for, as each company can vary slightly in what coverage they provide.

![]() I personally just phoned and asked.
I didn't need anything extra, and I am fully covered. Now if one fish dies, why would you make a claim. But if the tank cracks, I have a crash, something BIG, I can make a claim.... On ~$20K invested, believe you/me, I will. Just make a call, if you have good house/condo insurance you should be good and no extra fees.
