The new skimmer has been running for 5 days now and I must say I am quite impressed with it. Here are the pros and cons I've found so far:
PROS: small footprint inexpensive quiet skims well (I'm getting nearly twice as much skimmate as I was with the Tunze) easy to adjust water level CONS: although easy to clean, the cup is difficult to remove: requires a good pull; perhaps it will loosen up a little after more use

The new skimmer has been running for over 2 weeks now and it really does deliver as advertised. Easy to use and produces skimmate at twice the amount of my old Tunze. I'm not ready to throw out my MR-3 Beckett on the 225g but for my 90g the Bubble Magus is great.
