These 'tallest height' things are with the dogs standing on all fours. But some are also recorded on hind legs. Of course the longer thinner dogs would be larger but Mastiffs can also get huge (english particularly). They can get super huge. My uncle's English mastiff's (two of them) weighed 140lbs at 6 months old. Right now they are around 230lbs and only around a year. I dont think the first picture is photoshopped, because that is totally a 'legit' size for them, cause they realistically can become that big.

This is a South African Boer Boel and is a real dog for sure.

Traditional protector of the farm for Dutch speaking Boer farmers and

great with children.

Have been known to kill lions but is not used to hunt (tree) lions as this is reserved for the ridgebacks due to there keener nose.
