![]() I think they might be hydroids? Hard to tell for sure but I don't think they are aptasia. They don't grow in clusteres like that as far as I know.

![]() colonial hydroids is correct. fairly common in new systems and should disappear on its own. but keep an eye on it as they may also grow to plague like proportions, but this is rare.

They aren't as prolific as aiptasia and as mentioned usually either clear up on their own or remain a relatively small population... |

![]() it does seem to be spreading i have found them in a few spots, the tank about 5 yrs old but had to move it 3 times in the last 2 years

I still have some stubborn ones left on a rock too big to take out.. I took the other LR out and blasted them with a butane torch in the spots they were at. |
