Here is some information for those that are looking to run the Nextreef Mr1, Mr1XL, and Monster Reactors.

Which reactor to choose?

500-1000ml of pellets;

• MR1

• MR1 XL

1000ml+ and or dual with carbon

• MR1 XL

• MR1 Monster

Flow through this reactor depends on what size reactor you choose to run and the volume of pellets you are using.

For running 500ml or less using the MR1 or MR1XL we suggest using the following pumps;

• Maxijet 1200
• Eheim 1048
• Tunze Silence 1073.020 (Will have to throttle back)
• Seltze L20 (may have to throttle back)

For running 1000ml or more using the MR1XL we suggest the following pumps:

• Eheim 1250
• Seltz L30
• Sedra-3500
• Tunze Silence 1073.020
• Tunze Silence 1073.040
• Tee'd off the sump return

For running 1000ml or more pellets and Carbon in the second chamber of the MR1 Monster we suggest the following pumps;

• Tunze Silence 1073.040
• Seltz L30-L40
• Sedra 3500
• Tee'd off your sump return pump.

O.C. recommends getting a pump with more flow than what you need, you can always throttle the pump back but it is much more difficult to squeeze more flow out of too small of a pump.
