I saw the pico display today at the boutique and these bulbs are very nice. I placed my hand about 6 inches under the bulbs and the heat was barely noticeable but the tank glowed.

I guess i should indicate here that the wattage that we use for the bulbs are the wattage output of the LED emitters not the total wattage usage of the spotlight, in other words if the PAR38 driver takes roughly 6 wattages then the ICE CooLEDs would be the following wattage:

5x3W (15W) + PAR38 driver (6W) = total 21W
9x3W (27W) + PAR38 driver (7-8W) = total 34-35W

We could market these bulbs at there total wattage used, but that would be deceiving our customers as to what the actual output the bulbs are giving out.

Here is a recent testimonial that we received on the lights.....

Gentlemen,

I recently purchased 3 of the 27watt ICE Cool LED spotlights for my 80 gallon mixed reef/fish tank and have to tell you how impressed I am with this product.

Originally I used a Corallife Compact Flourescent hood with 2 X 65w 10,000K, and 2 X 65W Actinics. Tank is 48"L X 30"H X 13"D and you can see from the attached pic that there was not enough power to get intense light to the bottom. I was looking at 2 X 250w MH's but the cost was more than I could afford in my budget.T hen I saw your information on the BC Aquaria web site

With the new LED's you can see that the intense light is now getting to the bottom of the tank. All the "softies", the leathers and bush corals are doing very well under these lights, and as a side issue, because the LED's do not emit in the orange/red wavelengths, I am having less of a problem with with algae.

Great system, you can go ahead and use these pics and this testimonial as a reference.

regards,

G. Featherstone
