While many of us (including me) have faced many different ups and downs, i'm gonna get geeky and say, "just believe that it will all work out" Be positive and positive things will come your way, be negative and that's all you'll see and possibly experience. Do what you have to, to keep things going and share the responsibilities in life with your partner (if you have one).

Ya, I know I will get another job, it's just when. We have been living on the edge for quite a while now, Savings were burned up last year. I cant afford even 2 weeks without a paycheque right now, EI JUST pays Mtg and Truck payment, nothing else. Only behind on CC bills so screw them, household bills are kept up.

Dan you come off as a pretty intelligent guy, I'm sure things will pull through for you! Should see if you can do something more your skills oriented and just run with it.

I got the "Downsizing due to economic factors beyond our control" speech in March 2009. At the time, my wife and I bought into the "life gives you lemons make lemonade" philosophy so we cashed in our savings took my severance, and went on one last big trip. It was great and seemed like a good idea at the time.

3 months pounding the pavement in downtown Calgary and we are both still unemployed. We might be looking back with a touch of hindsight now!!!

Oh well, things have to get better some time. Chin up, shoulders back, big smile, and start begging!!!!

I know this may not be exactly what you meant but most household bills (at least in Saskatchewan) don't usually report to the credit report companies quite as soon as the credit card companies will come down on you.

It could possibly be better for your credit score to pay the CC companies their minimums and try and work something out with the utilities providers?

I wish you all the luck!
