I know what you mean. I've been putting off getting a new vehicle (house, vacation and marriage) for 4 years because I cant find steady employment here. Now if I could only get a refund for that $25000 I spent on education...

While many of us (including me) have faced many different ups and downs, i'm gonna get geeky and say, "just believe that it will all work out" Be positive and positive things will come your way, be negative and that's all you'll see and possibly experience. Do what you have to, to keep things going and share the responsibilities in life with your partner (if you have one).

Ya, I know I will get another job, it's just when. We have been living on the edge for quite a while now, Savings were burned up last year. I cant afford even 2 weeks without a paycheque right now, EI JUST pays Mtg and Truck payment, nothing else. Only behind on CC bills so screw them, household bills are kept up.

Dan you come off as a pretty intelligent guy, I'm sure things will pull through for you! Should see if you can do something more your skills oriented and just run with it.

I know this may not be exactly what you meant but most household bills (at least in Saskatchewan) don't usually report to the credit report companies quite as soon as the credit card companies will come down on you.

It could possibly be better for your credit score to pay the CC companies their minimums and try and work something out with the utilities providers?

I wish you all the luck!

Screw the companies that report to your credit bureau isn't a good idea at all.

My wife and I can last indefinitely without income. We live in a very modest condo, but have bought many investment properties over the years that cash flow positive from day one. People should really invest in income producing assets rather than depreciating assets. The net income we get from the investments would pay all our expenses for what we need.

We have taken no hand outs from parents or inheritance, all was on our own.
