I use elastic band to secure my softies to a plug or rock within a week it should be good to go the cut the band off cause the frag will most likely grow over it a little but it will slide out

i skewer the base of the coal with a toothpick, then strap the pick with a rubber band to the plug. pull out the pick after a few weeks and yer all set. works with shrooms too.
