Lighting 6 x 2 foot tank

Ok I got a message that this could be a good light to go with

ATI 60" 6x80W Sun Power High-Output Fixture, more money up front but less bulb cost in the future then going with 2 3 footers

I would only loose 6 inches per side and due to the shallow depth I could raise it and not loose too much penatration.

imcosmokramer, good point about the shadows I will keep that in mind.

Keep in mind that 60" T5 bulbs can be a challenge to locate, especially in a varied selection of colours. I rarely see them at LFS here.

And typically more expensive as well because of the awkward shipping requirements.
